  • Elaine Briggs is incredibly passionate about the value of Training and Education. She has over 25 years’ experience in of experience in health and fitness education. Having begun her career in the fitness industry as a lifeguard, swimming teacher and aerobics instructor before recognising that her passion and talent lies in educating and inspiring others. Elaine has since worked across several sectors, training providers and awarding organisations over the past twenty years. But is perhaps best known for her long history of work as the Director of Education, Training and Innovation at award-winning training provider Future Fit Training in addition to her work on the CIMSPA The Professional Development Board. Elaine is recognised as a leading voice within the industry, steering and contributing to the future direction of the fitness sector. 

  • Sian Roberts has been igniting brilliance in the sport and physical activity for over 21 years and has a vast understanding of the sector. Always acting with integrity and honesty, Sian skilfully leads the way for us all through championing inclusivity, and showcasing to our peers how to operate an inclusive and adaptive organisation successfully. Her colleagues highly regard her extensive knowledge and experience in leadership and mentoring. Sian is an active leader in the community, taking part in several initiatives such as volunteering for a charity which supports bereaved children, and is an expert in developing and supporting individuals from all walks of life. As Operations Director of Future Fit Training not only has Sian established an exceedingly successful business, she has also raised a long-standing authentic family culture and extends this hospitality to the sector and our community.

  • Rob Johnson has been driving forward excellence in the fitness industry since the establishment of Future Fit Training in 1993. Rob initially started the organisation as an operator who was struggling to source employees who were trained enough to perform crucial roles. And thus, Future Fit Training was born from a desire to provide the sector with a well-informed workforce who had the right knowledge to not only carry out their roles but excel and build a career. Now, he is successfully operating four schools, and award-winning digital education platform and continues to develop and evolve to the needs of the workforce and the industry. With over 25 years of experience in the industry, his passion for setting up individuals for a long and healthy career has helped over 40,000+ students and has no plans on stopping any time soon.

  • An industry veteran, Rich Millard has worked in the industry for more than 40 years. Rich was Partnership Director with Places Leisure. And before that at DC Leisure or 28 years. Over the years, he has worked closely with key sector partners, including Sport England and ukactive, Rich is also a fellow of CIMSPA, and chairs the Professional Development Board which leads on skills development in our sector. Rich has worked closely with many local authority partners, National Governing Bodies of Sport, partner agencies and funding agencies to increase participation in physical activity and improve the health of the communities. Rich believes a collaborative approach is a way forward in training the workforce up to achieve professional standards our sector deserves.

  • Megan Yorke is a multifaceted asset to Future Active Workforce, after beginning her career in health and fitness. Megan has gone on to work in several sport and leisure organisations. Successfully supporting business at board level, she can plan and deliver on desired outcomes and efficiently manage projects through to completion. With many talents, resilience and determination, she drives forward plans and draws on her versatile set of skills to ensure the practicalities are covered and the objectives achieved. Megan is highly moral and compassionate, with a drive for reducing the impact of social inequalities and increasing wellbeing in society.
